Pippin Core- can you guess what he is??

this is a little different. read the poem then you have to tell me what you think Pippin is e.g. child, dog etc. the rhythm is a little off in some places but it was fun to write lol

Pippin core

Pippin core was a good little child
And knew not of the dangers ahead,
For over the fields, across the stream,
Lived a man who wanted him dead.

As pippin core swung high in the trees
The man stood in silence below
After a while he started to climb
And took pippin out with a blow

Pippin, asleep, was flung in a sack
Which was tied up with twine at the top
Into a car that sack was thrown
As the engine did start with a pop

As pippin awoke from his slumber,
He hummed a sweet tune in his fright
For he could see the bag open
And into the sack poured sunlight

He was poked he was touched he was shaken
Until he could bear no more
Those dirty great hands did then take him
And tossed him onto the floor

There he sat for an hour
Pippin was shaking with fright
As a round ladies face peered in
He knew this would be his last night

The knives caught the light from the window
An old woman rolled up her sleeves
The mistress who picked pippin up from the floor
Seemed not to notice his pleas

She then chose a knife from the wall
She lifted it up to her jaw
Her face was red with the effort, and,
With a swipe, pippin was no more.

That knife did cut clean through him
His halves then fell to the side
She picked him up, and turned him around
Just to make sure he had died.

She then cut him again into quarters
She chucked him into a tub
As he lay on the bottom in pieces
Others joined the death club

When the tub of bodies was full
They were taken again to the knives
Their corpses were stripped of their innards
By the nightmarish, bloodthirsty wives.

Their skin was peeled off bit by bit
As new victims arrived through the door
The factory of death was alive
Unlike the poor pippin core

They were taken through rooms of the warehouse
Into the back of the structure
Pastry lay in wait on the tables
Not a dent, not a scrape, not a rupture

The temperature was extreme
As pippin was placed in a bowl
The lid of the pie was replaced
And into the fire went coal

When the fire was hotter still
The pies were placed on a tray
They were slid carefully onto a shelf
And there for a minute they stayed

The pies were golden brown
Ready to go in the shop
All they needed was some time
And a sprinkle of sugar on top

That night pippin was taken away
By a man with his daughter and son
They would have his later for tea
And so pippins life was done.

Maybe Pippin is a monkey... anyway, THIS IS AMAZING!!! You're a fuckin' great poet ya know! Occaisionally the rythm was a bit off but not really. I cant see problems in it honey! I take of my hat to you...

it was set as a school thing but i wrote two and handed in the other one.
its such a cool way of writing poems
i think the one its based on is called john barley corn or something.

Pippin is a dog's name... but dogs dont swing through trees. my mum says is it a squirrel?

well.... i like that it was kind of a riddle.. but i suppose the clue helped alot. I actually feel stupid atm for thinking he was a boy when i was reading it XD

dont feel stupid, it was meant to do that!

i just thought of an apple and what happens to them when they get made into apple pie and tried to pretend the apple had a whole character to it; therefore turning it into a boy lol.

i called him pippin core because, say it slowly and you get

pip in core.

and apples keep their pips in the core. HA. i thought i was clever for thinking of that. lol
